Box Office Winner – 4 Christmases
30th November 2008
All the returns aren’t in just yet, but it appears that 4 Christmases will knock Twilight out of the #1 slot for box office numbers this Thanksgiving Weekend. Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn appear to have the magic touch as their comedy has appealed to movie-goers of all ages. After a big win last weekend, Twilight appears to be headed for a #2 finish. Australia, the WWII epic drama starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, has lagged behind the leaders and may not even crack the Top 5.
Here is EW’s take on Thanksgiving Weekend Movies this holiday weekend.

27th November 2008

Sony unvailes smallest $2,500 OLED TV, or what I like to call the “Biggest Waste of Money”.
25th November 2008
Sony has started its ad push for its new 11″ OLED television. It’s flashy new Organic Light Emitting Diod is something to awe at but for the hefty price tag, i would pass. Unless you are the type of person who just has money burning a whole in your pocket.
OLED isn’t anything new and still has it’s shortcomings but if you have some extra cash just burning a hole in your wallet you can be on the cusp of technology. Or the ridicule of your peers for being that bastard who has way to much money for his own good. And you know its a guy too because girls don’t buy crap like that. They just spend money on other useless things like designer crap computers with flower prints and sparkles.

SAG to Movie Studios… “Show me the Money!”
22nd November 2008
The Screen Actors Guild will ask its members to authorise a strike, after the first discussion with movie studios in four months failed to produce a result.
According to reports the Actors Guild is pushing for more money for actors when their work is released on DVD, plus a greater say in the endorsement of products on-air.
No word on what broke off current discussions with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) but on Saturday morning talks were halted after they were unable to reach a compromise.
In a statement put out by SAG, “We have already made difficult decisions and sacrifices in an attempt to reach agreement. Now it’s time for SAG members to stand united and empower the national negotiating committee to bargain with the strength of a possible work stoppage behind them.”
A vote by members must reach 75% for a strike to go forth.
