Den of Geek.com – Will there ever be a fully fledged fifth entry in the Alien franchise? We’ve been looking over the rumours and speculation of the past few years to find out more…

It was hard to tell, when the first Alien vs Predator movie came out back in 2004, whether it was a good or bad thing for those of us eagerly looking forward to a fifth Alien movie.

On one hand, it was promising to see cinema’s most iconic aliens back on screen again after a near-seven year absence, and if they could bring home the financial bacon, then that too could help get things into gear at Fox. But on the other hand, the slam-bang, empty shell of a film they inhabited was as far removed from Ridley Scott’s classic as it was possible to get.

Cut to the last twelve months, where The Brothers Strause, with AvP 2, happily banged through what it took Scott most of a film to do in five minutes flat, and you couldn’t help but wonder if the proper Alien franchise was best left buried. After all, Alien Resurrection was a fairly clumsy fourth entry in the series – albeit one with some masterful moments – and its box office performance and insistence on hanging onto Sigourney Weaver seemed to signal the end of the main cinematic series.

TMZ reported that former NBA star Corie Blount was arrested by cops picking up 18 pounds of Marijuana in Ohio Thursday.

Also in his possession, $29,500 in cash and three guns.

Blount has been charged with felony drug possession and has been released on bond.

Sony has started its ad push for its new 11″ OLED television. It’s flashy new Organic Light Emitting Diod is something to awe at but for the hefty price tag, i would pass. Unless you are the type of person who just has money burning a whole in your pocket.

OLED isn’t anything new and still has it’s shortcomings but if you have some extra cash just burning a hole in your wallet you can be on the cusp of technology. Or the ridicule of your peers for being that bastard who has way to much money for his own good. And you know its a guy too because girls don’t buy crap like that. They just spend money on other useless things like designer crap computers with flower prints and sparkles.

A 15 year old swedish boy collapsed and went into convulsions on Sunday after playing World of Warcraft for 15+ hours straight.

“They played all day and all night. Maybe they got a few hours of sleep. They ate a little food and breakfast at their computers,” the boy’s father said.

At around 2pm on Sunday, the boy had what appeared to be an epileptic seizure. Doctors said the boy’s bodily systems had been thrown off by a combination of sleep deprivation, lack of food, and too long a stretch of concentrated game playing.

While the boy is expected to recover the parents have come up with a brilliant idea and limit the time his son is allowed to play. In an even more brilliant move, his parents plan to warn other parents on the dangers of extended game playing.

Just goes to show you, while the kid should have taken a break and refreshed, his parents are even more responsible and should be ashamed that this is what had to happen for them to be a more active part of their sons life.

Michael Jackson is being sued by Bahrainian Prince Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

According to the reports Michael Jackson begged Prince Al-Khalifa for £3.7 million to pay his home bills. In exchange the Prince of Pop would sing songs composed by the Prince. They also agreed to release joint collaborations and raise money for the victims of the tsunami and Hurricane Katrina.

But according to the sheik Jackson refused to deliver and is now seeking legal action.

Recently Jackson gave up the title on his Neverland ranch after falling into default on the $24.5 million he owed on the property.

These are not ‘Thriller’ times for the Prince of Pop.

On Thursday night Madonna got Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake to perform with her at Dodger Stadium. I think this shows how my power Madonna has in the entreatment biz if she got JT to be in the same room with that nut job. Videos below
